Terra.Nova is a team of landscape architects, urban planners and architects based in Munich.
The task was to replace the long existing static website with a technically up-to-date website with CMS so that the client could update its content itself. Terra.Nova wanted a minimalist design with lots of white space and discreet effects.
We decided to develop a multi-column grid for the content, which creates a contrast and thus tension in the design through different image formats and large initials. This multi-column grid becomes one column in the mobile version. The image grid has been automated, so that the same image formats are always repeated on the start page, with content from different categories – e.g. team, news, projects – being displayed randomly. This results in a variety of portraits, visualisations and photos.
